Katchafire Reunion Night at Hamilton Arts Festival / Toi Ora ki Kirikiriroa
Sunday, 2nd March
Katchafire are excited to bring a rare and special Reunion night to the Hamilton Arts Festival / Toi Ora ki Kirikiriroa, featuring past members’ new bands – Indica, Tigerhour, and Son & Water.
With a 28-year history, Katchafire has become an iconic force in the reggae scene, representing both Aotearoa and the genre across the globe. They’ve continually supported emerging musicians and artists, giving them exposure while honoring the legendary Jamaican roots of the music.
The band’s lineup has recently seen change following the emotional departure of longtime bass player Tere Ngarua, who stepped aside after nearly 20 years in the role. Former bassist Ara Adams-Tamatea (L.A.B.) has returned to fill the role once again.
The support acts for the Reunion show include past members of Katchafire:
Indica, featuring Grenville Bell on guitar
Tigerhour, featuring Hāni Dread
Son & Water, featuring Jamey Ferguson and his son.
Katchafire’s singer Logan Bell shared, “It’s always a special moment coming together with the OGs. It doesn’t happen often, so we cherish when it does, just vibing and spending time with each other doing what we love! It brings all the feels flooding back!”
Tickets are on sale now!

Reviving the ‘Revival’ Album
20th Anniversary Edition
Twenty years after its original release, Katchafire is revisiting their iconic album Revival with an epic project to breathe new life into the tracks. The first taste of this reimagined collection, “Seriously (Revived Version)”, was released in late 2024.
This monumental album project will feature remixes of the original Revival tracks, reworked by renowned engineer Philip McFarlane (Earthkry) and Jamaican producer Stephen ‘Dubklaat’ Maxwell. Along with these fresh takes, several songs from the album will be re-recorded, bringing in a range of special guests from the global reggae scene, promising a vibrant and dynamic new chapter for this beloved record.
Stay tuned for an exciting journey back to Revival, with a modern twist.
